MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617071207 A) filed by Starcin Holding France on June 08, 2026, for Adjuvant For Improving The Particle Size Distribution Of A Mineral Composition Having A Reduced Clinker Content.

Inventors include Autier, Caroline; Soret, Sylvain; and Froidevaux, Vincent.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a grinding method comprising grinding a mineral composition to be ground in the presence of an adjuvant composition comprising at least one polymer (P) of formula (1), wherein: - M represents, independently of one another, H+ or a cation of valency v selected from among an alkali metal cation, an alkaline earth metal cation, a bi- or trivalent metal cation, an ammonium cation or an organic ammonium cation, - if M = H, then v = 1, and if "M" represents a cation, v is the valency of the cation M, - R2, R3, R4 and R5 independently represent H, CH3 or –COO(M)1/v, - m = 0, 1 or 2; p = 0 or 1; X is O or N, and - R1 represents -[Alkyl-O]z-R6, in which each "Alkyl" group is independently a C2 to C4 branched or linear alkylene, R6 represents H, a C1 to C20 alkyl, a cyclohexyl or an alkylaryl, and z = 40, wherein the number of units (I) and (II) in the polymer (P) is defined by a repeating unit (A) comprising a unit (II) and "a" units (I), where a 0, n being between 1.5 and 50, and the molecular weight of the repeating unit (A) Mw(A) = 6500 g/mol, and wherein the mineral composition to be ground comprises 0% to 80% by weight of clinker, relative to the total weight of the mineral composition to be ground.
