MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641078477 A) filed by Mlr Institute Of Technology on June 25, 2026, for Adjustable Stirrer Holding Apparatus.

Inventor includes Dr. Harikishor Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: Mechanical stirrers are commonly used to agitate molten metal within a crucible, creating a swirling motion that assists in breaking dendritic structures and achieving uniform dispersion of reinforcement particles. However, variations in the swirling intensity from the centre toward the outer regions of the molten metal can result in non-uniform particle distribution, which poses a significant challenge in composite fabrication. The present invention addresses this limitation through the development of a flexible stirrer holder that allows easy adjustment of stirrer diameter to optimize stirring performance. Although various mechanical stirrers have been developed previously, none have specifically resolved this issue. To meet this requirement, the current investigation focused on designing an innovative stirrer holder that enables simple and secure attachment of a graphite stirrer without the need for internal threading, adhesives, clips, or bolts.
