MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511018806 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology Deemed To-Be University; and Shobhit University, Gangoh on March 03, 2025, for Adjustable Resting Assistive Device.

Abstract: An adjustable resting assistive device, comprises of a frame 1 developed to be installed on a chair, the frame 1 is installed with artificial intelligence enabled image capturing module 2 for capturing and processing multiple images of a top rail of the chair in view of determining dimensions of the top rail, a microcontroller linked with the module 2, based on the determined dimensions, generates a relative command, a platform 3 configured with multiple of panels arranged in an overlapped manner integrated with motorized hinges, the microcontroller directs the hinges to deploy the plates in a manner that the platform 3 is properly accommodated on the top rail, based on the determined dimension, a telescopically operated rod installed on the platform 3 to extend up to a height based on location of head portion of a user accommodated on the chair.
