Abstract: TITLE: ADJUSTABLE MODIFIABLE PERIOSTEAL ELEVATOR SYSTEM FOR VERSATILE ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGICAL APPLICATIONS APPLICANT: 1. MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH 2. MEENAKSHI AMMAL DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a modifiable periosteal elevator system for periodontal, implant, oral, and maxillofacial surgical procedures. The system comprises an ergonomically contoured handle fabricated from biocompatible surgical-grade stainless steel or titanium alloy, an adjustable tip assembly having interchangeable elevator heads of different geometries, a locking or adjustment mechanism configured to secure a selected tip angulation, depth markings for intraoperative measurement, and detachable components including a removable retraction blade. The adjustable tip assembly permits selection of straight, curved, or angled working configurations and modification of tip angulation according to periosteum thickness, flap design, anatomical region, and surgical approach. The locking mechanism provides controlled positioning and stability during use, while the detachable components facilitate tissue retraction. The interconnected components enable controlled elevation and reflection of mucoperiosteal flaps during periodontal flap surgery, implant placement, ridge augmentation, bone grafting, impacted tooth exposure, and related oral surgical procedures.
