MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621093547 A) filed by Tarhal, Avantika; and Gaikwad, Ajay on August 01, 2026, for Adjustable Dual-Arch Occlusal Rim Stabilization Device For Maintaining Centric Relation.
Inventors include Tarhal, Avantika; and Gaikwad, Ajay.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an adjustable dual-arch occlusal rim stabilization device (100) for maintaining centric relation. The device (100) includes an elongated handle (10), a central support stem (20), a pair of anatomically contoured semi-circular stabilizing arcs (30), a plurality of inward-directed retaining clips (40), and a central threaded adjustment assembly (50). The elongated handle (10), the central support stem (20), the pair of anatomically contoured semi-circular stabilizing arcs (30), the inward-directed retaining clips (40) and the central threaded adjustment assembly (50) together form a hand-held mechanical stabilizing device configured to hold the maxillary and mandibular occlusal rims together in a predetermined spatial relationship. The device (100) maintains the recorded centric relation by preventing sideways movement, up-down movement and rotational movement of the maxillary and mandibular occlusal rims during removal, transfer, articulator mounting and complete denture fabrication.
