Abstract: The present invention provides an adjustable discharge plate assembly for improving a control on compression ratio in a screw compressor comprising a bearing housing, a plate mounting, a pair of rotor screw port and a slide valve slot. The bearing housing comprises a rotor bearing set for a male screw, a female screw and a slide valve. The bearing housing comprises a fixed geometry mounting face at a proximally outward face. The plate mounting comprises a set of discharge port plates with a plurality of mounting fasteners. The pair of rotor screw port comprises a female screw port in a female discharge port plate and a male screw port in a male discharge port plate. The side valve slot is provided at a bottom of mating plane of the male and female discharge port plates. The male and female discharge port plates are interchangeably mountable onto the bearing housing.
