MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521024306 A) filed by Adarsh Vishnu Garande on March 18, 2025, for Adjustable Damping System.
Inventor includes Adarsh Vishnu Garande.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an adjustable damping system (200) designed for precise resistance control in mechanical applications. The system comprises a main body (100) housing a sliding body (102) and a compressible spring (101) for controlled energy absorption. A damping collar (103), featuring a selectable thread engagement mechanism (104), allows for fine and coarse resistance adjustments. The internal threads (105) of the sliding body (102) engage with the damping collar (103) to facilitate precise tuning. A slot (106) on the damping collar enables manual adjustment using a tool such as a screwdriver or Allen wrench. A snap-fit claw mechanism (115) secures the sliding body while allowing easy disassembly. The system includes threaded circular groove slots (110A, 110B) on the main body’s bottom surface for adaptable mounting options, including bolted, press-fit, or welded attachment. Constructed from durable materials such as metal alloys, thermoplastics, or reinforced composites, the system ensures high impact resistance. Applicable across automotive, industrial, and robotic systems, it offers customizable damping, enhanced stability, and ease of adjustment. Fig. 1
