MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094208 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on November 30, 2024, for Adjustable Concrete Beam Construction Assistive Device.

Inventors include Dr. Sanjeev Sharma; Dr. Rachin Goyal; Rohit Singh; and Shivam Pandey.

Abstract: An adjustable concrete beam construction assistive device, comprising a body 101 accommodated over a steel column installed on a ground surface, an imaging unit 102 installed on the body 101 to determine structure of the column, a laser emitter 103 integrated on the body 101 to guide user to mount the body 101 on a central rebar, plurality of extendable arms 104 integrated on the body 101 to extend/retract for positioning a suction unit 105 integrated on the arms 104 for stabilizing the body 101 over the column, plurality of motorized clamping units 106 integrated on the arms 104, each by means of a motorized sliding unit 107 for translating the clamping units 106 to acquire a grip on required rebar and an ultrasonic sensor 108 mounted on the body 101 for monitoring distance of the rebar with respect to the arms 104 and clamping units 106.
