The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.
Abstract: There is provided an additive metal casting system and method for casting a metallic object by producing a stack of production layers having mold regions and object regions, the mold regions constituting a mold-in-progress and the object regions constituting a cast-in-progress held within the mold-in-progress. The additive metal casting system includes a metal processing system including: a surface melter configured for melting a first volume of previously-solidified metal in the cast-in- progress; a metal depositor configured for dropping a second volume of molten metal into said first volume; wherein said first volume and said second volume accumulate into a melt zone of at least a minimum volume of molten material required for at least one cast-property modification process; and a powder introduction unit for delivering an allocated amount of at least one cast-property modifying powder into said melt zone. For molten material of a ferrous alloy, the minimum volume is at least 2cc.
