Abstract: The present invention relates to an adaptive wireless communication and network management system for smart home automation comprising a plurality of smart home devices, multiple wireless communication interfaces, a home gateway, a wireless environment monitoring module, an adaptive communication intelligence module, a quality-of-service management module, a routing and channel selection module, and an energy optimization module. The system continuously monitors wireless communication parameters including signal strength, signal-to-noise ratio, packet loss, retransmission rate, channel occupancy, interference, latency, throughput, and connectivity stability, and combines the monitored parameters with device state, application priority, network congestion, historical communication behavior, and energy condition. The adaptive communication intelligence module determines a communication suitability for available communication paths and dynamically selects or modifies a wireless protocol, communication channel, routing path, transmission power, data rate, retry parameter, or communication frequency. The system further classifies smart home traffic according to priority, provides preferential communication resources for critical automation events, performs energy-aware communication management for battery-operated devices, and predicts or detects communication degradation for initiating adaptive failover. The invention thereby provides an intelligent, context-aware, predictive, and energy-efficient wireless communication framework capable of improving reliability, reducing latency, optimizing wireless resources, and maintaining substantially continuous smart home automation communication in heterogeneous and dynamically changing residential wireless environments.
