MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611116247 A) filed by Fusion Business Solutions Private Limited on September 28, 2026, for Adaptive User-Interface Locator Repair For Robotic Process Automation Using Image Analysis And Human Approval.

Inventors include Puneet Chelani; Virendra Pandey; and Akshita Rohida.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method repairs a user-interface locator used by a robotic-process-automation workflow by storing, upon successful element resolution, the locator, a baseline image, and positional data. When the locator fails, the system progressively compares a current screen image with the baseline using increasingly intensive techniques, including perceptual hashing and structural similarity, followed by image template matching. If confidence remains insufficient, a vision-language model identifies the element despite changes in appearance, labeling, or position. The system queries a live document object model at the identified location to obtain the element and generate a replacement locator from one or more attributes, presents the proposed locator and visual information to a human operator, and stores and uses the replacement only upon approval.
