A method comprises receiving, from a second apparatus, an indication at least indicating at least one custom constellation associated with an uplink data transmission and status of the at least one custom constellation; preparing, based on the indication within a time period associated with a custom constellation to be used for the uplink data transmission, the custom constellation to be in an indicated status or available for the uplink data transmission; and performing the uplink data transmission using the custom constellation.
