MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641075233 A) filed by Dr. K. Madheswari; and Dr. Duragdevi P on June 17, 2026, for Adaptive Urban Soundscape Intelligence System Using Iot And Deep Learning For Noise Pollution Management.

Inventors include Dr. K. Madheswari; and Dr. Duragdevi P.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: The present system discloses an Adaptive Urban Soundscape Intelligence System Using IoT and Deep Learning for Noise Pollution Management. The proposed Urban Soundscape Intelligence Framework (USIF) operates according to an Adaptive Noise Recognition and Mitigation Method (ANRMM) utilizing a Deep Learning Assisted IoT Soundscape Analytics Technique (DL-IoTSAT). The system integrates IoT acoustic sensing devices, edge processing units, deep learning-based sound recognition, soundscape classification, noise hotspot prediction, and adaptive mitigation mechanisms within a unified smart city architecture. Acoustic signals are continuously collected from distributed sensor nodes and processed using CNN, RNN, LSTM, and Audio Spectrogram Transformer models for real-time identification of urban noise sources. Machine learning algorithms analyze historical and real-time acoustic patterns to forecast future noise pollution hotspots and generate proactive mitigation recommendations. The framework provides dynamic soundscape intelligence, environmental compliance monitoring, citizen alert services, and decision- support analytics for city administrators. The invention improves urban environmental quality, public health protection, and sustainable smart city governance through intelligent noise pollution management.
