MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076076 A) filed by Kalasalingam Academy Of Research And Education on June 19, 2026, for Adaptive Tamper-Driven Context-Aware Cryptographic Integrity System For Battlefield Sensor Networks.

Inventors include U. Rushi Vardhan; M. Viswhak Sal; Aarthi. V. P. M. B; J. Bennilo Fernandes; M. Prasanna Kumar; and S. Suresh Kumar Reddy.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: The titled invention discloses an adaptive security system designed to provide secure and reliable communication in battlefield sensor networks operating in hostile environments. The system comprises battlefield sensor nodes ( 1) that collect operational and environmental data and transmit the information through a 10 communication network (2) to a central control station (16). The transmitted communication packets are received through a packet reception unit (3), processed through a packet parsing unit (4), and verified using a device and IP validation unit (5), sequence verification unit (6), and cryptographic processing unit (7). A tamper detection unit (8) identifies communication and storage-level tampering, while a 15 tamper scoring unit (9) evaluates the severity of detected threats. Based on the threat condition, a decision making unit (10) and context-aware key generation unit (11) dynamically update communication security, while an adaptive response unit (12) initiates suitable protective actions. The invention helps prevent replay attacks, unauthorized access, and data tampering while ensuring continuous secure battlefield 20 communication.
