MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641114162 A) filed by Sreyas Institute Of Engineering And Technology on September 23, 2026, for Adaptive Street Lighting Intensity Control System For Energy Efficiency.
Inventors include Dr. B. Jyoshna; Devara Nagasri; and S. Srikanth.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: An adaptive street lighting intensity control system (100) is disclosed for enhancing energy efficiency. The system comprises a street lighting unit (110), an ambient light sensor (120), a processing unit (130), a motion detection module (140), an environmental sensor module (150), a communication module (160), a dimming control unit (170), and a power management module (180). The processing unit (130) dynamically adjusts lighting intensity based on real-time sensor inputs and predictive analytics. The system enables fine-grained control of illumination, reduces energy consumption, and improves safety under varying environmental conditions. A corresponding method is also disclosed for detecting environmental parameters, processing data, predicting lighting requirements, and adjusting illumination accordingly.
