MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641077196 A) filed by Dhivya Kalaiselvan; and Cmr Institute Of Technology on June 23, 2026, for Adaptive Smart Pill Strip With Conductive Trace-Based Dose Monitoring And Compliance Verification System.
Inventor includes Dhivya Kalaiselvan.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an adaptive smart medication blister strip integrated with conductive trace circuitry for real-time dose monitoring and compliance verification. The system incorporates conductive pathways embedded around individual pill cavities within a pharmaceutical blister package. Upon extraction of a tablet or capsule, the conductive path corresponding to the cavity is disrupted, thereby generating a detectable electrical event. A compact electronic module records the extraction event along with associated timestamp data and optionally transmits the information through NFC or Bluetooth communication interfaces. The invention further enables sequential dosage verification, skipped-dose detection, abnormal extraction pattern identification, and tamper detection. The proposed system provides a low-cost, disposable, intelligent pharmaceutical packaging mechanism capable of improving medication adherence while minimizing dependence on external monitoring devices. The invention is particularly useful for elderly patients, chronic disease management, clinical trials, and remote healthcare monitoring systems.
