Abstract: The present invention relates to a protective maternity belt configured to enhance maternal and fetal safety by protecting pregnant women from impacts, sudden jerks, collision forces, abrupt deceleration, and other mechanical stresses encountered during activities and vehicular travel. The belt comprises a multilayer structure including an outer protective fabric layer, a reinforcement mesh layer, force-distribution channels, a shock-absorbing layer containing viscoelastic foam and shear- thickening gel pads, an inflatable cushioning layer, and a inner comfort liner. These layers cooperate to absorb, dissipate, cushion, and redistribute external forces while reducing pressure on the abdominal region. The belt further incorporates a force-redirection mechanism configured to channel impact and restraint loads away from the womb and toward pelvic support regions. In various embodiments, the belt may include adjustable fastening assemblies, ventilation passages, thermal regulation components, and inflatable cushioning elements to improve fit, comfort, support, protection, and adaptability throughout pregnancy.
