Abstract: ABSTRACT ADAPTIVE RETENTION DEVICE AND VEHICLES THEREOF Disclosed herein, adaptive retention device (100) and vehicles thereof. Adaptive retention device (100) includes structurally integrated layers such as profile layer (102), adaptive layer (104) and support layer (106). Profile layer (102) includes first set of meta-structure cells (108) with associated first density and interfaces with outer surface (116) of object (114) received by adaptive retention device (100). First set of meta-structure cells (108) adaptively deform based on contour of outer surface (116). Adaptive layer (104) operatively coupled to profile layer (102) and includes second set of meta-structure cells (110) with associated second density being lower than first density. Second set of meta- structure cells (110) selectively deform in radially inward direction in response to insertion of object (114) in adaptive retention device (100). Support layer (106) operatively coupled to adaptive layer (104) and includes third set of meta-structure cells (112) with associated third density being lower than second density. [
