Abstract: An adaptive recommendation system for a cloud environment includes an input unit receiving successive user interaction data from user devices, a memory unit storing temporally separated data portions, feature data, drift-state data, and recommendation-model versions, and a cloud server having a controller and processor. The processor generates feature data and behavioral distributions for earlier and subsequent data portions, while the controller determines a distribution-difference value and generates a drift-state indication when a stored drift detection condition is satisfied. Identified feature positions are used to selectively update corresponding model parameters based on subsequent interaction data while retaining parameters associated with unaffected feature positions. The memory unit stores an updated model version associated with the drift state and subsequent data portion. A communication interface transmits recommendation data to user devices, and subsequent user responses are stored for successive drift-detection cycles and adaptive recommendation processing.
