MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611073229 A) filed by Poornima University; Ms. Anshul Ojha; and Ms. Neha Sharma on June 12, 2026, for Adaptive Privacy-Integrated Proof-Of-Stake Blockchain Framework For Secure Academic Credential Verification.
Inventors include Ms. Anshul Ojha; and Ms. Neha Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system for secure academic credential verification using an adaptive privacy-integrated Proof-of-Stake blockchain. The system employs processor-executed units to generate cryptographic hash representations of academic credentials, which are recorded on a distributed ledger while sensitive data is securely stored in encrypted off-chain storage. An adaptive consensus mechanism dynamically determines validator eligibility based on staking value, trust score, credential sensitivity, and network conditions, thereby improving validation efficiency and preventing centralization. The system further incorporates a privacy enforcement unit configured to generate cryptographic proofs enabling selective disclosure of credential attributes without revealing complete data. An authorization control unit ensures that verification requests comply with user-defined consent policies, providing user-centric control over credential access.
