Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid data recording system for commercial vehicles. The system includes a sensor module, microcontroller, processing unit, local storage, and communication interface for recording and managing vehicle data. The system operates based on predefined conditions to differentiate between normal and abnormal events. Upon detection of abnormal conditions such as sudden acceleration changes, the system preserves relevant data using a buffering mechanism. The system further enables transmission of data to a remote server when network connectivity is available while retaining data locally when connectivity is unavailable.
