MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611099480 A) filed by Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur on August 18, 2026, for Adaptive Posture Correction System And Method Thereof.

Inventor includes Disha Singh.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: An adaptive seated posture management system (100) comprising a primary torso engagement band (101), a right shoulder engagement band (102), and a left shoulder engagement band (103) configured to support ergonomic posture correction through passive tactile feedback. The system (100) further comprises right and left adaptive tension regulation assemblies (104,105) coupled between the torso engagement band (101) and respective shoulder engagement bands (102,103). Each adaptive tension regulation assembly (104,105) includes a telescopic housing member (106), a reciprocating rod member (107), a variable resistance biasing member (108), a calibration adjustment member (109), and a damping interface (110). The assemblies (104,105) are independently configurable to provide asymmetric corrective feedback and progressively increasing resistive tension beyond a predefined ergonomic neutral zone. The invention further provides a method for adaptive posture correction by calibrating resistance parameters according to anthropometric and posture requirements of a user.
