Abstract: The present invention relates to a reading assistance apparatus for physical books configured to automatically track page transitions and provide adaptive illumination during low-light reading conditions. The apparatus comprises a page-tracking module, an automated page-clipping mechanism, a reflective illumination control unit, a reading zone detection module, and a page memory system coordinated by a control processor. Upon detection of a page turn, the apparatus automatically identifies and secures the active page while redirecting light toward the corresponding reading area using a controllable reflective element without physically moving the primary light source. The system selectively illuminates the active reading zone to reduce glare, minimize eye strain, and improve visual comfort. The page memory system stores and restores the last-read page and associated reading state. The apparatus is compatible with various physical book formats and provides continuous, automated, and ergonomically optimized reading assistance with minimal user intervention.
