MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611101521 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 22, 2026, for Adaptive Multi-Sensor System Predicting Cooking Oil Health And Remaining Lifespan.
Inventors include Shonak Bansal; Harsh Dogra; and Ajitesh Bansal.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an Adaptive Confidence-Aware Multi-Sensor Fusion System for Cooking Oil Health Assessment, Remaining Useful Life Prediction, and Personalized Recommendation. The system integrates temperature, colour, viscosity, dielectric constant, and oil usage sensors with an embedded processing unit for real-time oil quality monitoring. An Adaptive Confidence-Aware Multi-Sensor Fusion Engine (ACMSFE) dynamically evaluates sensor reliability, assigns confidence-based weighting coefficients, and generates a unified feature representation for an Artificial Intelligence prediction engine. The system determines a Confidence-Adaptive Oil Health Score (CA-OHS), predicts Remaining Useful Life (RUL), evaluates a Prediction Confidence Index (PCI), and generates personalized recommendations for oil reuse, replenishment, blending, or replacement. An adaptive self-learning module utilizes historical operating data and prediction errors to continuously improve sensor weighting and prediction accuracy. The invention enables reliable and predictive oil management, improving food safety, reducing oil wastage, lowering operational costs, and supporting sustainable cooking practices.
