MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641110407 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on September 15, 2026, for Adaptive Multi-Organ Digital Twin Framework For Predictive Disease Progression And Treatment Simulation.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention provides a battery management system having a fast, safety-rated controller tier and a slower supervisory tier separated by a monotone conservatism guard. The fast tier calculates a runtime observability metric from a derivative of a stored open-circuit-voltage characteristic and switches an internal-state observer from voltage-innovation correction to an alternative basis when voltage information becomes uninformative. The alternative basis includes coulombic integration with bounded drift, thermal-signature inference, and/or impedance excitation. Cell residuals are weighted according to the observability metric for fault detection. A deterministic protection arbiter performs predictive derating based on an extrapolated physical parameter, cell isolation, controlled zero-voltage safe- parking, cooling request, or contactor opening. The supervisory tier uses an on-device language model for post-actuation event classification and generates a retained natural-language rationale. The guard permits only conservative threshold adaptation, preventing supervisory computation from delaying, vetoing, weakening, or gating protective actions
