MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541029104 A) filed by Tejas Networks Limited on March 27, 2025, for Adaptive Measurement Configuration For Ai/Mlassisted Mobility Prediction.
Inventor includes Sreekanth K.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for optimizing Layer 1 (L1) beam-level measurements in AI/ML-assisted Layer 3 (L3) cell-level measurement-based event prediction systems. The method includes configuring, by a network device, a user equipment (UE) with measurement parameters, including an accuracy threshold for evaluating L3 measurement accuracy. The UE transmits a measurement report containing the accuracy level of L3 measurements to the network. Based on this report, the network determines whether the accuracy meets a predefined requirement. If the accuracy requirement is satisfied, the network reconfigures the UE to reduce L1 beam-level measurements by adjusting the measurement gap repetition period or instructing the UE to skip L1 measurements. This dynamic adaptation enhances measurement efficiency, reduces network overhead, and improves UE power consumption while maintaining mobility performance. The proposed method enables intelligent measurement management, optimizing radio resource utilization and supporting AI/ML-driven mobility decisions in next-generation wireless networks.
