Abstract: Adaptive mathematical optimization system for real – time decision making in complex engineering systems Abstract: An adaptive mathematical optimization system provides real-time decision making for complex engineering systems. The system includes a sensor interface that receives real-time operational data from the engineering system, and a processor that generates a state representation from this data. The processor selects an optimization algorithm from a plurality of available algorithms based on characteristics of the state representation, such as non-linearity, uncertainty, or computational constraints, and executes the selected algorithm to generate a decision output optimizing an objective function subject to defined constraints. The processor further adapts the objective function, constraints, or algorithm parameters based on feedback data reflecting changes in system state or deviations between predicted and observed outcomes. An output interface transmits the resulting decision output as a control signal to actuators, enabling continuous, adaptive, real-time optimization across dynamic and computationally demanding engineering environments.
