Abstract: The present invention relates to an Adaptive Linear Star-Mesh LoRa Network for Worker Safety in GPS-Denied Environments (100). The system is designed for underground mines, tunnels, utility corridors, underground construction sites, and other subterranean environments where GPS signals are unavailable or unreliable. It comprises a plurality of Adaptive Communication Nodes, an Adaptive Gateway Election Mechanism, an Adaptive Tunnel Routing Mechanism, a Distributed Fragmented Safety Data Storage Mechanism, and a Predictive Hazard Assessment Mechanism. The Adaptive Gateway Election Mechanism dynamically selects a suitable gateway based on changing network conditions, while the Adaptive Tunnel Routing Mechanism maintains reliable communication by selecting appropriate communication paths. The Distributed Fragmented Safety Data Storage Mechanism preserves critical safety information during temporary communication failures, and the Predictive Hazard Assessment Mechanism analyses environmental observations to identify hazardous conditions and prioritize emergency messages. The coordinated operation of these mechanisms improves communication reliability, network resilience, preservation of critical safety information, and worker safety in GPS-denied subterranean environments.
