MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119591 A) filed by Bannari Amman Institute Of Technology on October 06, 2026, for Adaptive Iot Traffic Management With Digital Twin, 5g Emergency Slicing And Secure Authentication.

Inventors include Pranav Kumar T; and Sathish Kumar S.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: An adaptive Internet of Things IoT traffic management system and method are disclosed for intelligent, predictive and secure traffic control in smart-city environments. The system comprises a Sensor and Vehicle Telemetry Layer (120), a plurality of Operational Cells (110A-110N), a communication infrastructure and a Central Master Gateway (100). The Central Master Gateway comprises an AI Decision Engine (101), a Digital Twin Validation Engine (102), an Emergency 5G Slice Orchestrator (103), a Distributed Ledger Coordinator (104) and an AI Threat Detection Engine (105). It analyzes real-time traffic data from sensors and connected vehicles and generates commands to optimize traffic. Before deployment, the commands are validated with the Digital Twin Validation Engine (102) to predict network-wide traffic impacts. The Distributed Ledger Coordinator (104) cryptographically authenticates the validated commands prior to execution of the commands by the Operational Cells (110A–110N). Upon detection of an emergency event, the Emergency 5G Slice Orchestrator (103) automatically allocates a dedicated low latency communication slice to create a dynamic green corridor. The AI Threat Detection Engine (105) continuously monitors telemetry and command activity for anomalous behavior, sensor spoofing and unauthorized command injection. The invention enhances intelligent transportation systems in terms of traffic efficiency, emergency response, cybersecurity, scalability and reliability.
