MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611075294 A) filed by Hcl Technologies Limited on June 18, 2026, for Adaptive Impact Isolation System And Method Of Controlling The Same.

Inventors include Sahanashree; and Vinitha Ready.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: An adaptive impact isolation system (100) and a method (1100) for controlling the same are disclosed. The system includes a protective capsule, a first inertial measurement unit, a second inertial measurement unit, a damping subsystem, and a controller communicatively coupled thereto. The controller receives first inertial measurement data and second inertial measurement data, compares the first inertial measurement data and the second inertial measurement data to detect whether at least one of the first inertial measurement unit or the second inertial measurement unit is faulty, and, in response to detecting a fault, isolates a faulty inertial measurement unit and operates in a degraded operational mode using inertial measurement data from a non-faulty inertial measurement unit. The controller determines predicted impact energy associated with an impending impact of the protective capsule and controls, prior to impact, the damping subsystem to vary a damping characteristic based on the predicted impact energy.
