MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621082007 A) filed by Symbiosis International Deemed University on July 02, 2026, for Adaptive Heuristic-Based Hybrid Scheduler For Dynamic Resource Allocation In Cloud Computing Environments.

Inventors include Karan Deshmukh; and Dr. Bhupesh Kumar Dewangan.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT ADAPTIVE HEURISTIC-BASED HYBRID SCHEDULER FOR DYNAMIC RESOURCE ALLOCATION IN CLOUD COMPUTING ENVIRONMENTS The present invention provides an adaptive heuristic-based hybrid scheduling system (100) and method for dynamic resource allocation of cloudlets to virtual machines in cloud computing environments. The system (100) comprises a cloud user interface module (110), a datacenter broker module (120) enhanced with an adaptive heuristic-based hybrid scheduler engine (130), a load-projection vector module (140), a datacenter module (150) with physical hosts (152), and a virtual machine pool (160). The scheduler engine (130) is characterized in that it dispatches each incoming cloudlet to the virtual machine with the minimum projected cumulative load by querying and incrementally updating the load-projection vector module (140) with O(m) time complexity per decision. Experimental evaluation demonstrates 17.5 percent makespan reduction over Round- Robin, 94.7 percent resource utilisation and load-imbalance degree of 0.18, with sub-millisecond scheduling overhead. Statistical validation through one-way ANOVA confirms significance at 99 percent confidence level. [
