Abstract: ABSTRACT Adaptive Fan Speed Control Using Human Presence and Body Heat Sensing The present invention relates to an adaptive fan speed control system (100) and method for automatically regulating an AC ceiling fan (108) according to human presence and occupant-related thermal conditions. The system comprises a PIR human presence sensor (101), a non-contact infrared body heat sensor (102), an ambient temperature sensor (103), and a microcontroller (104) having a thermal load and occupancy fusion module (104b) and a speed mapping module (104c). The microcontroller (104) combines occupancy information, occupant count and body heat measurements to determine a thermal parameter and generates a corresponding fan-speed command. An isolation/driver circuit (105) and TRIAC-based speed control circuit (106) regulate the fan speed. A control and timing module (104d) provides hysteresis to prevent rapid switching, while a user display (107) provides operating information. The system enables multi-level, occupancy-responsive and body-heat-responsive fan control while reducing unnecessary operation in vacant spaces. Figure-1
