MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611100859 A) filed by Poornima University; and Ms. Sheena Tahira Khan on August 20, 2026, for Adaptive Charge Controller System For Photovoltaic-Battery Hybrid Electric Vehicles With Predictive Energy Management.
Inventor includes Ms. Sheena Tahira Khan.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: An adaptive charge controller system for a photovoltaic-battery hybrid electric vehicle is disclosed. The system includes a photovoltaic module, a battery pack, a data acquisition and preprocessing unit, a feature extraction unit, a prediction unit, and an adaptive control unit. The data acquisition and preprocessing unit generates synchronized operating datasets from photovoltaic and battery operating information acquired during successive charging intervals. The feature extraction unit constructs operating-state vectors representing charging conditions and maintains a continuously updated operating-state matrix. The prediction unit establishes a rolling prediction window from consecutive operating-state vectors and generates forthcoming operating-state records corresponding to subsequent charging intervals. The adaptive control unit generates charging adjustment records including charging current, charging voltage, and converter duty-cycle values according to the forthcoming operating-state records and updates the charging adjustment records throughout successive charging intervals. The system performs adaptive charge management by continuously maintaining synchronized operating datasets, operating-state vectors, prediction windows.
