MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611096069 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 08, 2026, for Adaptive Bio-Quantum Ink For Self-Healing Printed Circuits.
Inventor includes Dr. Siddharth Arora.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to an adaptive bio-quantum conductive ink capable of autonomously repairing fractures in printed and flexible electronic circuits. The ink comprises a biomimetic reversible polymer network integrated with quantum-dot clusters that dynamically migrate in response to a charge-density imbalance created by a micro-fracture. When mechanical stress induces a crack in the conductive pathway, the local disruption of charge flow triggers the movement of quantum-dot clusters toward the damaged region, while the polymer chains reorient and re-bond to form a stable structure. This coordinated healing mechanism restores electrical continuity without requiring heat, pressure, electrical stimulation, or any external intervention. The healed region maintains conductivity comparable to the original printed trace and supports repeated healing cycles. The invention enables durable, energy-independent, and highly reliable self-healing circuitry suitable for flexible electronics, wearable devices, sensors, and next-generation printed electronic systems.
