Inventors include Morapelo Realeboha Ngwenya; Pallavi Sharma; Dr. Navjyot Santilal Trivedi; Dr. Deepika Kapoor; Rajesh Prasad Jayaswal; and Dr. Mulavagili Vijaya Simha.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a computer-implemented precision microbiology platform for proactive clinical decision support in bloodstream infection management. The platform integrates multimodal clinical, laboratory, microbiological, phenotypic, genomic, and hospital epidemiological data using an adaptive artificial intelligence engine to continuously predict pathogen probability, antimicrobial resistance, empirical therapy, treatment response, mortality risk, outbreak emergence, and hospital-specific resistance evolution before completion of conventional microbiological workflows. The invention further provides dynamically updated antibiograms, explainable artificial intelligence with confidence estimation, digital twin simulations for antimicrobial response and resistance evolution, continuous self- learning using newly generated microbiological data, and interoperable integration with laboratory information systems, electronic health records, cloud infrastructure, and mobile applications, thereby enabling precision antimicrobial stewardship and real-time infectious disease decision support.
