MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511018856 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology Deemed To-Be University; and Shobhit University, Gangoh on March 03, 2025, for Adaptable Welding Sparks Converging Device.

Inventors include Shoyab Hussain; Yogesh Kumar Sharma; Jayanta Kumar Mahato; and Rajkishor Singh.

Abstract: An adaptable welding sparks converging device, comprising an elongated platform 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface in proximity to a site of welding, an artificial intelligence-imaging unit 2 is positioned on the platform 1 to monitor a welding operation taking place in vicinity of the platform 1, a pair of motorized sliding units 3 installed on the platform 1 to translate a C-shaped structure 4 mounted on the sliding units 3 at a required length along the platform 1 for establishing a barricade for maximum portion of the welding sparks, plurality of flaps 5 arranged on the structure for restricting entire range of the sparks which results in converging of the sparks towards inside of the structure and a fire-proof conduit 6 along which the sparks are translated for diverting the converged sparks from the structure towards the conduit 6.
