Abstract: An adaptable object relocating assistive device comprises of an elongated body 101 having a proximal end 102 attached with a handle 103 for positioning a distal end of the body 101 in proximity to an object to be lifted, a pair of motorized omnidirectional wheels 104 supported by a T-shaped link 105 overlapped at a middle portion of the body 101 for enabling smooth movement of the body, a microphone 106 for user input regarding lifting the object, an imaging unit 107 for capturing and processing multiple images, a motorized clamping unit 108 comprising multiple plates 109 for tilting the plates 109 to conform with the object’s shape and to grip the object, a weight sensor for determining weight of the object, a gyro sensor for detecting angular movement of the secured object, a pressure sensor for determining pressure applied by the clamping unit 108 onto the object.
