MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511012771 A) filed by Sanskriti University on February 14, 2025, for Adaptable Lower Limb Supporting And Mobility Assistive Device.

Inventors include Peeyush Kumar Sharma; and Dr. Hemlata Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: An adaptable lower limb supporting and mobility assistive device, comprising a telescopic frame 101 attached with a user’s lower limb, an U-shaped member 102 attached with first portion of frame 101 gripping the user’s thigh, a motorized drawer arrangement 103 integrated within the member 102 securely gripping the user’s thigh, an imaging unit 104 installed on frame 101 determines user’s knee portion, a semi-cylindrical plate 105 attached with frame 101 resting the user’s knee, an inflatable unit fabricated over plate 105 cushioning user’s knee, a sensing module detects movement of lower limb, a motorized hinge 107 configured on plate 105 and attached with a curved link 108 enclosing user’s knee, a curved-shaped flap 109 arranged on bottom portion of frame 101 with plurality of grooves 110 balancing user on surface and an electromagnetic spring 111 attached in between frame 101 and flap 109 absorbs sudden jerks.
