Abstract: A method is provided that includes receiving a configuration of semi-persistent (SP) channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resources or resource sets for candidate cells, and each candidate cell is configured with a respective one or more of the SP CSI-RS resources or resource sets. The method includes receiving a control message, a L 1 /L2 control message, that indicates at least one of the candidate cells, and for each of the at least one of the candidate cells identifies at least one of the respective one or more of the SP CSI-RS resources or resource sets that is activated or deactivated. And the method includes performing at least one measurement on any of the SP CSI-RS resources or resource sets identified and indicated as activated in the control message, or stopping measurement on any of the SP CSI-RS resources or resource sets identified and indicated as deactivated in the control message.
