Abstract: The present invention relates to an accumulator (100) for refrigeration or air conditioning systems that comprises a shell (10) with a top head (11) and a bottom head (12). An inlet (20) for injecting a vapor refrigerant into the shell (10). A first pipe (30) extends axially within the shell, with an opening (31) above the inlet (20) and an orifice (32) at the bottom end. A second pipe (40) is positioned eccentrically within the first pipe (30), extending from the top head (11), with an opening (41) below the inlet (20) and an outlet (42) at the top. A heat exchanger (50), suspended within shell (10), has an inlet (52) for hot liquid refrigerant and an outlet (53) for discharge, ensuring efficient heat transfer between vapor and liquid refrigerants.
