Abstract: An absorbent article (1) has a longitudinal direction, a width direction, and a thickness direction that are orthogonal to each other in an unfolded state, and comprises a liquid-absorbing absorbent core (10). The absorbent article is characterized by having, on the skin-side surface, a joining means (30, 30') that can be joined to a part of the absorbent article (1) upon disposal. When the joining means is divided equally into three parts, namely, a first adjacent region (L1), a central region (Lc), and a second adjacent region (L2) either in the longitudinal direction or in the width direction, the joining force of the first adjacent region (L1) or the second adjacent region (L2) is weaker than the joining force of the central region (Lc).
