Abstract: Provided is an absorbent article capable of further improving the fit to an excretory opening by means of a center gather. The absorbent article (1) includes: an absorbent body (30) having an absorbent material; a top sheet (21) that is disposed in a central region (R10) including an article width center (1CW) constituting the center in the width direction of the absorbent article, and that contacts a wearer's skin; and a center gather (40) that is disposed between the top sheet and the absorbent body and raises, towards a skin side (T1), the top sheet in the central region. The center gather has a center elastic member (42) that is elastic in at least a front-to-rear direction. The center gather is joined to the top sheet at a pair of first joining portions (45) located on both sides of the article width center, and is joined to the absorbent body at a pair of second joining portions (46) located on bothe sides of the article width center.
