Abstract: The present invention relates to an IoT-based defense and surveillance system named A.R.G.U.S. (Autonomous Real-time Guardian & Unified Surveillance Suite). The system integrates soldier health monitoring, radar-based intrusion detection, cloud-enabled communication, automated alert generation, and robotic threat verification into a unified platform. An ultrasonic sensor and Arduino Uno microcontroller are utilized for real-time object detection and threat analysis, while a NodeMCU ESP8266 enables remote monitoring through Arduino Cloud. Upon detecting suspicious activity, alerts are generated and a camera-equipped rover can be deployed for live video verification. The invention enhances battlefield situational awareness, reduces false alarms, and improves response efficiency through intelligent automation and real-time surveillance.
