The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a self-cleaning eraser cap for a whiteboard marker, designed to maintain a clean erasing surface and reduce smudging during use. The device comprises an eraser assembly with an eraser pad, a driver gear, a cap body, an internal cleaning assembly having a follower gear and scraper arm, and a detachable residue collection chamber. During operation, the user twists the eraser assembly relative to the cap body, causing the driver gear to rotate the follower gear and move the scraper arm across the eraser pad surface. The scraper arm dislodges accumulated dry ink particles from the eraser pad, and the removed residue is directed into the collection chamber for storage and later disposal. The invention provides a compact, reusable, and efficient marker cap with an integrated active cleaning mechanism for consistent, smudge-free whiteboard erasing performance.
