Abstract: ABSTRACT A WEARABLE SYSTEM FOR MONITORING AND ASSESSING SLEEP BRUXISM The present disclosure envisages a wearable system (100) for monitoring and assessing sleep bruxism. The wearable system (100) comprises a face mask (102) having a set of electromyographic (EMG) sensors (104) configured to detect muscle activity of one or more jaw muscles and generate sensed EMG signals. At least one cardiovascular sensor (106) is configured to obtain cardiovascular data, and at least one acoustic sensor (108) is configured to generate acoustic signals corresponding to jaw movement. The wearable system (100) acquires physiological signals associated with sleep-related orofacial activities to facilitate reliable assessment of such activities, by providing a wearable face mask (102) carrying a set of electromyographic (EMG) sensors (104), at least one cardiovascular sensor (106), and at least one acoustic sensor (108) that are positioned to remain in operative contact with the relevant facial regions during sleep.
