Abstract: The invention relates to wearable orthopedic and rehabilitation devices, and particularly to a wearable orthotic system and method for real-time wrist posture monitoring and pressure modulation for carpal tunnel syndrome management. The system includes a wearable wrist support structure having a semi-rigid dorsal stabilization portion and a flexible palmar cut-out design, an IMU sensor on the dorsal aspect, a force sensitive resistor sensor at the palmar carpal tunnel region, a microcontroller-based processing layer, a micro air pump communicating with one or more air bladders, and a feedback arrangement including vibration, sound, or visual indication. The processing layer filters and analyzes wrist angle theta and pressure P to classify movement, estimate pressure-related risk, and, when predefined thresholds are exceeded, actuate selective inflation or deflation of dorsal, palmar, or side-specific bladders to return the wrist toward a neutral position while redistributing load away from the median nerve region in a closed-loop manner.
