Abstract: The present invention relates to a sustainable process for producing a biofertilizer from marine fish processing waste and fruit residues through probiotic fermentation. The invention utilizes marine fish waste as a primary source of proteins and amino acids in combination with waste sugar, overripe banana and pineapple residues, cooked rice water, and a probiotic culture comprising Lactobacillus species. The raw materials are processed through controlled aerobic fermentation to convert biodegradable organic waste into a nutrient-rich, semi-liquid biofertilizer. The staged fermentation process promotes the formation of amino acids, organic acids, beneficial microbial metabolites, and naturally available potassium derived from fruit residues while reducing odour and improving product stability. The resulting biofertilizer is intended for agricultural applications, particularly for cardamom cultivation, where it supports balanced plant nutrition, vegetative growth, flowering, fruit development, and crop productivity. The invention provides an environmentally sustainable waste-to-wealth solution by recovering valuable nutrients from multiple organic waste streams that would otherwise require disposal. The technology reduces environmental pollution, minimizes waste management costs, supports circular bioeconomy principles, and enables decentralized production of an affordable biofertilizer suitable for spice crops, plantation crops, horticultural crops, and organic farming systems.
