Abstract: The present invention relates to a walking assistive stick for blind people. designed to enhance the mobility and safety of visually impaired individuals. The device integrates an Arduino Nano (101) as the central controller, an ultrasonic sensor (102) for real-time detection of forward, lateral, and overhead obstacles, and a soil moisture sensor positioned near the base for identifying wet or slippery surfaces. A vibration motor (104) and buzzer (105) provide immediate haptic and audio alerts whenever hazards are detected. An SOS push button (106) enables emergency communication through a Bluetooth-connected mobile application, while a 9V battery (107) serves as the power source. The system can further incorporate GPS and RFID modules for outdoor navigation and indoor positioning. Mounted on a lightweight PVC stick frame, the invention offers an affordable, portable, and highly responsive mobility aid. Its scalable architecture supports future integration of TinyML-based classification and IoT monitoring, improving independence and situational awareness for visually impaired users.
