Abstract: [053] The present invention relates to a vision-based machine learning system for monitoring screen viewing distance and digital wellness. The system comprises a camera for capturing real-time image frames of a user, a face detection module for detecting and tracking the user’s face, a distance estimation module for estimating a viewing distance between the user and a display screen from facial information, a threshold comparison module for comparing the estimated viewing distance with predetermined safe viewing thresholds, and an alert generation module for producing corrective alerts when the user is positioned too close to or too far from the display screen. The system further includes a screen-time monitoring module for tracking continuous screen usage and generating break reminders to reduce eye strain and fatigue. In one embodiment, a parental control module monitors access to predefined restricted digital resources and notifies an authorised supervisory user.
