MUMBAI, India, June 19 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441094155 A) filed by Ather Energy Limited on November 30, 2024, for A Vibration Damping System For A Handlebar Of A Vehicle.

Inventors include Singh, Ritesh Kumar; Inavolu, Prasanth; and Nijagal, Mukunda M.

The application for the patent was published on June 05, 2026, under issue no. 23/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a vibration damping system (100) for a handlebar of a vehicle that includes a stem comprising of a pair of legs (102A-1, 102A-2) that include a pair of clamps (102B-1, 102B-2), a stiffener member (102C), and a tube member (102D). The stem is configured between the handlebar (104) and the underbracket (200) to transmit rotational movement of the handlebar (104) to the underbracket (200). Further, the vibration damping system (100) includes a pair of dampers (106-1, 106-2) configured between the pair of clamps (102B-1, 102B-2) and the handlebar (104) to absorb vibrations from the tube member (102D). The vibration damping system (100) arrests downward deformation of the handlebar (104), upon exertion of downward pressure by hands of a user, during movement of the vehicle, thereby preventing the hands of the user holding the handlebar (104) from absorbing the vibrations generated from the rotation of wheels.
